Treadle Sewing on a Vintage Singer 201
Here I am demonstrating the stitches on my Singer 201-2 (originally manufactured with a potted motor) that I have converted to treadle (100% mechanical, body-driven) power.
This particular treadle table was manufactured by Singer around 1922 and is made entirely out of cast iron and wood. I am amazed by the sheer simplicity of how a treadle works and the power it can achieve on high quality, compatible sewing machines.
